Door Seals (body & door mounted) are the main weatherstrips that prevent water, air, dust, and noise from entering the passenger compartment. Door seals may be attached to either the door or the body of the vehicle. Higher performance is achieved when both of these seals are used together to provide a primary and secondary barrier. Body mounted door seals may also include colour to blend with the interior styling.
Hood Seals are weatherstrips that manage air flow between the hood and the engine compartment.
Rear Compartment Seals
Rear Compartment Seals are weatherstrips that prevent water, air and dust from entering the trunk of a car or rear storage area of a SUV/crossover.
Auxiliary Seals are additional weatherstrips that improve performance by managing water, and by reducing the air and dust that reach the door seals.
Glassruns are weatherstrips, located around the sides and top of a moveable door glass, that prevent water, air, dust, and noise from entering the passenger compartment.
Inner Belts are weatherstrips along the interior beltline of a door that prevent water, air and dust from entering the passenger compartment.
Outer belts are weatherstrips along the exterior beltline of a door that prevent water, air and dust from entering the passenger compartment. The outer belt is also an exterior ornamental component that can include various colour, gloss or bright appearance.
Upper Reveals and Appliques
Upper Reveals and Appliqués are exterior ornamental components. Upper reveals are trim along the top edge of the door and can include various colour, gloss or bright appearance. Appliques are trim along the vertical side of door glass and can be in various gloss levels.
Glass Encapsulation (side glass)
Glass Encapsulation (side glass) are specialized products where a flexible material is bonded to glass. For example, the glass is inserted into a mould and flexible material is injected onto the glass.
