Henniges Automotive North America, Inc., in Auburn Hills, Michigan, seeks an Account Manager. 20% travel, both domestic and international. Duties: Responsible for regular daily engineering and technical interactions and assist with securing existing business opportunities; update sales quotations and submit updates to customer purchasing departments for review and approval; build detailed customer cost breakdowns and price documents; support development and execution of customer strategy, and prepare necessary business and market data to assist in budget preparation; manage new business opportunities, including RFQs with OEM customers, and coordinate distribution of requirements and specifications to engineering team; launch efficient interface with customers to solve commercial disputes regarding outstanding payments; ensure acceptable levels of receivables for serial, tooling, and EDD orders; and establish market share analysis tool to monitor competitors’ development trend. Work from home allowed 2 days per week. Minimum education required: Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent foreign degree. Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience as a product engineer, industrial engineer or commercial technical role at an Automotive Body Sealing System manufacturer. Must have 5 years of work experience with each of the following: managing RFQs and quotation processes for Automotive Body Sealing Systems, and multi-process manufacturing flows, including extrusion head configuration, cutting, notching, molding, splicing and assembly sequencing; performing material analysis (EPDM/TPE), and interpreting CAD 2D/3D views, profile section drawings, and tolerances; using Siemens Teamcenter for configuration management, EBOM validation, validate document baselines, CAD retrieval, and processing ECRs/ECNs for OEM to determine the commercial, material, and process impact of engineering changes; extracting and analyzing cost data from Plex ERP, including exploded BOM structures, material masters, labor/burden rates, routings, and plant costing reports; creating detailed customer cost breakdowns including material, labor, burden, tooling, packaging, SG&A, logistics, scrap modeling, and long-term inflation impacts; and developing and interpreting business cases, investment sheets, ROI/NPV models, and full program cash-flow analyses for sealing system programs.
